The issue may be related to the metal component inside the scanner’s front panel. To inspect it, pull the grey lever to open the front panel. Inside, you’ll find the metal component known as the page separator. Try removing and reseating it. To remove, squeeze both sides of the separator. When reinserting it, listen for a snap to ensure it is securely in place. Once done, perform a test scan to confirm if the issue is resolved. Below is a screenshot of the page separator for reference
